u brake installation guide
you will need :
a basic tool set with spanners and hex (allen) keys
brakes
bike (lol)
STEP 1
check to see if your brake bosses have any plastic covers or caps.
if it does then remove these and discard them (you wont need them, theyre there for transport)
STEP 2
remove your handlebar grips and slide your brake levers onto the bars.
tighten them up quickly (they can be adjusted later) with an allen key before replacing your grips.
STEP 3
slide the front brake mounting bolt through the brake-mount hole on your front fork and tighten.
then simply align the front brake blocks with the rim of your front wheel before tightening the retaining bolts on the blocks.
this will ensure that your blocks will not rub the tyre under braking.
STEP 4
slide the rear brake arms onto the bosses on the rear of your frame and tighten the bolts to hold them in place. use your allen key to loosen the retaining bolts on your brake blocks before aligning them and tightening them up as you have with your front brakes.
STEP 5
attach the front brake cable to the lever you wish to use and run it down to the cable stop on the front brake. tighten the bolt that holds the cable in place and test the brake by pulling the lever a few times.
STEP 6
repeat step 5 for your rear brake and (in theory) you're ready to ride.
